To maintain and manage optimal physical inventory levels of all materials, supplies, parts, tools and equipment stored in multiple AEPCO warehouses.



    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum two years of experience at electric utility or similar industrial environment, working in inventory management and warehouse operations utilizing a fully integrated database for material transactions.
    • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of inventory control record keeping (material receipts, issues, transfers, physical counts, storage location maintenance, etc.)
    • Experience sourcing materials utilizing the Internet; obtaining quotes; placing orders with vendors utilizing a procurement card/credit card; processing expense reports.
    • Strong computer skills, proficient typing speed/accuracy, and ability to sit for periods of time while processing computer transactions. Computer skills to include working with spreadsheets, word processors, document management software and fully integrated databases (ERP system.)
    • Ability to read, understand and work from oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to develop own working specifications to perform duties with a minimum amount of supervision.
    • Demonstrated understanding of basic math.
    • Valid state driver's license.
    • Minimum two years of Forklift experience unloading box trailers and flatbed delivery trucks. Ability to operate forklift in tight clearance spaces. Basic knowledge of rigging required for unstable and oversize loads. Knowledge of forklift inspections and load capacities




  • Knowledge of O.S.H.A./D.O.T regulations related to occupational duties.
  • Working knowledge of hand, power and hydraulic tools.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Good housekeeping/organizational skills.


  • Maintains accurate records of all materials, supplies, parts, tools and equipment stored in warehouse locations.
  • Prepares accurate inventory activity reports.
  • Receives, records and issues all materials, supplies, parts, tools and equipment to various departments.
  • Determines and monitors appropriate levels of stock/non-stock materials, supplies, parts, tools and equipment.
  • Inspects all shipments of supplies delivered to the Cooperative, recording condition and notifying appropriate personnel of any damages.
  • Packages and delivers all materials, supplies, parts, tools and equipment for internal or external delivery.
  • Performs physical count and reconciliation of all warehouse inventory items.
  • Ensures optimization of inventory levels through analysis and research of history and trends according to warehouse replenishment requirements.
  • Source, obtain quotes, and creates requisitions for non-stock or order on request materials.
  • Operates material handling equipment as necessary.
  • Cooperates in achieving the objective of eliminating recognized hazards to safety and health; Comply with all Safety and Health rules.
  • Practices care and protection of equipment that is furnished by the Cooperative.
  • Participates in the training and instruction of the safe operation of old and/or new equipment and/or processes.
  • Maintains work area and plant to standards of sanitation, safety and health in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Performs work associated with other related occupational groups as required, and for which qualified to perform safely.
  • Provides training of personnel, as necessary, in activities and training within area of responsibility.
  • Implement, run and update inventory software systems.
